bluebarry helps shoppers find the right product on your store. It does that with four apps: product quizzes, on-site search, product chat and popups. They are not separate tools stitched together. They share one product catalog, one script on your store and one profile per visitor, so what a shopper tells one app, the others can use.

The apps
You find the apps under Apps in the sidebar. Use one, or use them all.
| App | What it does for shoppers | Where you set it up |
|---|---|---|
| Quiz funnels | Asks a few questions and recommends the products that fit the answers. | Quiz funnels → All quizzes |
| Search | Shows results as shoppers type, forgives typos, and adds filters, synonyms and a full results page. | Merchandising → Search |
| Product chat | Answers questions about a product or helps shoppers choose across your catalog, using only your product data. | Product chat |
| Popups | Collects emails and phone numbers, asks a quick question or shows an offer, at the right moment. | Popups → All popups |
The data they share
Under Data in the sidebar sits everything the apps have in common.
- Products. Your catalog, with its properties (brand, size, skin type and so on), collections and feeds. It syncs from Shopify, WooCommerce or CCV Shop, or comes in through a CSV or Google Sheets feed. Quiz matching, search filters and ranking, product chat answers and popup product targeting all read this one catalog. Fix a property once and every app gets better.
- Audience. Profiles of your visitors, Segments built from those profiles, and the Orders imported from your store.
- Personalizations. Every rule that gives a segment its own experience, with numbers on whether it works.
One script on your store
All four apps reach your store through the same bluebarry script. On Shopify you switch it on with the bluebarry app embed. WooCommerce, Magento, Lightspeed and CCV Shop have their own plugin or integration, and any other store adds one line of code. Once the script is there, a live popup or a search configuration that you switch on needs no extra code. The script only loads the parts your store uses, so it stays small. See built for a fast storefront for the numbers.
One profile per visitor
bluebarry recognizes a returning visitor with a first-party cookie and keeps one profile for them. Their quiz answers, searches, filter clicks, popup submissions, chats and product views all land on that profile. When they type their email into a quiz or popup, or place an order, the profile gets a name and an email address.
Quiz answers and popup fields are saved as profile properties. That is the information shoppers chose to share with you, such as their skin type or budget, and it is what makes the next step possible.
Segments on top of profiles
A segment is a live group of profiles that match your rules. Rules can combine what people told you (quiz answers, popup fields, consent) with what they did (products viewed, searches, quizzes left halfway, purchases, revenue). You then put segments to work:
- Give a segment its own search results, for example pinning fragrance-free products for shoppers who said they have sensitive skin.
- Decide who sees a popup, or who never does.
- Keep a Meta Custom Audience in sync with the segment.
Profiles can also sync to Klaviyo, Omnisend, Spotler Activate, BigQuery and your own webhooks, so your email and ad tools get the same data.
How the apps hand off to each other
Because the apps share one script and one visitor, they can pass a shopper along instead of starting over:
- A search for “gift” can show your gift finder quiz right in the search results.
- A quiz result page can offer Ask about your results, which opens product chat with the shopper's answers and recommendations already loaded (on pages where product chat is on).
- Product chat can run a quiz you link to it and explain the results.
- A popup button can open a quiz, and a popup can open when a shopper gets stuck: after searches that find nothing, a quiz closed early, or a chat closed without a click.
- Every app adds to the same cart.
Measuring what works
Each app has its own numbers: Quiz funnels → Analytics, the Analyze step of a search configuration, the Insights tab of a popup and the Insights step of product chat. Personalizations brings together every segment rule and compares it with a group of shoppers who did not get it, so you see whether the personalization earns its keep.
