Connect Spotler Activate to send your bluebarry profiles, with their quiz answers and recommendations, to your customer data platform. Your marketing team can then segment and personalize campaigns in Spotler Activate on what shoppers told you in bluebarry.
What is synced
Every profile with an email address is sent, plus shoppers Spotler Activate already recognises through its own tracking on your store. For each person, Spotler Activate receives:
- Email address, first name, last name and phone number, when known.
- Newsletter consent as yes or no, from your bluebarry consent question.
- A bluebarry data collection with the profile properties (quiz answers, popup form fields and imported customer fields), the latest recommended products with title, link, image, price and quiz, and when the shopper was first and last seen.
Each update arrives as a bluebarry Profile Sync event, so you can also trigger flows on it in Spotler Activate.
Connect Spotler Activate
- In Spotler Activate, look up your Account ID and an API key. The Find your API credentialslink in the connect window leads to Spotler's instructions.
- In bluebarry, go to Integrations and find Spotler Activate under Marketing & analytics.
- Click Connect.
- Enter the Account ID (it looks like SQ-12345678-ABCDE) and the API key, then click Connect.
bluebarry checks the credentials with Spotler Activate before saving. The card then says Profiles sync automatically to your account.
How syncing works
- Right after you connect, all eligible profiles are queued, so your existing audience arrives too.
- After that, a profile is sent again whenever it changes, for example when someone finishes a quiz or fills in a popup. Changes usually arrive within a minute.
- When a shopper is recognised by Spotler's tracker on your store, bluebarry links the two, so anonymous quiz takers can land on the right Spotler profile too.
- If you use Spotler's consent management and a shopper withdraws both analytics and marketing consent, bluebarry stops linking them to their Spotler profile.
Check the sync status
If Spotler Activate rejects a profile, it gets a Spotler Activate warning on its profile, and the Sync failed filter on Profiles lists everyone affected, with the reason and a retry. See Review profile sync status.
Good to know
- Customers you only imported (by CSV or a customer feed) wait until they visit your store or place an order before they are sent.
- Switching to a different Spotler account sends every profile again to the new account.
- Disconnecting stops the sync. Data already in Spotler Activate stays there. Handle removals, such as a privacy request, in Spotler Activate as well.
