Fix landing page domain verification

Your custom domain stays on Pending and verification keeps failing? Almost always, one DNS record is missing, mistyped or not live yet. Here is how to find it.

Check the DNS records

1. Go to Landing pages → Settings.
2. In Custom domains, click Set up DNS next to the pending domain.
3. Compare every record, its Type, Name and Value, with what you entered at your domain provider. Add any TXT records too, not only the CNAME.
4. Click I've added the records. Verify now.

If it still fails, bluebarry shows what it found. "DNS records not detected yet" usually means the change has not spread yet. That can take up to 48 hours.

Common mistakes

• The domain name is doubled. Some providers add your domain to the name automatically. If you enter quiz.example.com there, it becomes quiz.example.com.example.com. Enter only quiz in that case.
• An old record is in the way. A subdomain can have only one CNAME. Remove any existing A, AAAA or CNAME record for the same name.
• A copy error. Use the copy buttons in bluebarry. A missing character or a trailing space is enough to fail.
