Add bluebarry as a connector in ChatGPT and build your store's quizzes, search, popups and pages from a chat. It works the same way as the Claude connector: ChatGPT works with your live catalog and data and asks before anything goes live.

Before you start
- A bluebarry account. No account yet? You can create one while you connect.
- A paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu). Custom connectors aren't available on the Free plan.
- On Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces, an admin must allow developer mode or apps before members can add a connector.
- The bluebarry server address:

Turn on developer mode
- Open ChatGPT, click your profile picture and click Settings.
- Open Apps & Connectors (called Connectors in some versions).
- Open Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode. Accept the warning about third-party connectors.
Connect bluebarry in ChatGPT
- Back in Apps & Connectors, click Create (or Add custom connector).
- Enter bluebarry as the name and a short description, such as "Build and manage my store with bluebarry".
- Enter
https://mcp.bluebarry.ai/mcpas the server URL. - Confirm that you trust the connector and click Create.
- A bluebarry page opens. Sign in, or create a free account, and approve the connection.
- In a new chat, open the + menu in the message box, switch on bluebarry and tell ChatGPT what you want to build.
What ChatGPT can do
You choose how far ChatGPT can go, in Studio under Settings, AI assistants:
- Read only: ChatGPT looks at your setup, catalog and performance, and previews your pages, but changes nothing.
- Create and edit (the default): ChatGPT also creates quizzes, popups and pages as drafts and edits your store. Every change shows up in your Barry history in Studio, and most can be undone there or by asking ChatGPT.
- Create, edit and publish: ChatGPT can also publish a quiz, popup, collection page or search results page and switch things live. It shows you what changes for shoppers and asks you to confirm every time.
What stays in Studio
Some things are never done from a chat: deleting a whole quiz, popup or page, sending or scheduling email campaigns, changing loyalty points, and billing, team, API key and integration settings. Shopper email addresses are never shared with ChatGPT.
Stay in control
- You sign in on bluebarry's own page. Your password never goes to ChatGPT.
- Review what ChatGPT changed in Barry's history in Studio, in a conversation called "Changes from ChatGPT".
- Add standing instructions, such as your tone of voice, under Settings, AI assistants. ChatGPT and Barry both follow them.
- Disconnect ChatGPT there whenever you want to stop access.

- Look at my store and suggest the first thing to set up.
- Create a quiz that helps people pick the right running shoe, then preview it on mobile.
- Find the questions with the highest drop-off over the last 30 days and shorten them.
