Welcome!
Glad you are here.
In this block, we will show you how you can design your quiz in 5 simple steps.Â
Step 1: Create Your Quiz
First, you need to decide what the goal of this product quiz is.Â
- What products will this quiz recommend?
- Example: “Find your perfect skincare routine” or “Choose your ideal laptop”
Now, we can create the first quiz:

Â
- Go to “Quiz Funnel” in your bluebarry dashboard
- Click on “Add Quiz Funnel”
- Add quiz funnel name
Â

4. Select how you want to display the quiz on your website:
- Side-bar: Appears from the side of the screen
- Pop-up: Opens in a modal window
- Embedded: Shows directly on the page
5. Choose your currency
6. Click “Create Quiz”
The quiz builder opens in mobile view by default. To switch to desktop view, click the desktop icon in the top navigation.

Step 2: Set Up Quiz Start Page (Optional)
A quiz start page provides context and encourages participation before visitors begin answering questions.
2.1 When to use a start page:
- When embedding the quiz on a landing page
- When the quiz launches automatically (time delay, exit intent)
- When visitors need context about the quiz’s purpose
2.2 When you can skip it:
- When the quiz launches from a clear call-to-action button
- When the context is already provided on the hosting page
2.3 To add a start page in your quiz
- Toggle “Show start page” to “on” in the right-hand settings panel
- Add your start page content
- Customize the start button text (call-to-action)

Step 3: Create Questions
Questions are the core of your quiz. To add questions, click the plus icon in the left-hand navigation menu.
3.1 Question Data Fields
Display Text: The question as shown to quiz takers
Internal Name: A short description used for:
- Navigation within bluebarry
- Integration with external applications (Google Analytics, Zapier)
3.2 Question Types
Choose the appropriate question type based on your needs:

- Dropdown: Best for questions with 4+ answer options that don’t need visual explanation
- Picture: Ideal when images help explain the answer options
- Email: Use to collect email addresses for sending quiz results
- Numeric Input: For questions requiring number input (budget, dimensions, quantities)
- Text Input: For open-text responses (names, preferences, specific requirements)
- Text Only: Standard text-based questions with optional question images
Â
3.3 Multiple selection, visibility & appearance
Multiple Selection: Toggle “on” if users should be able to select multiple answers for this question.
Question Visibility & Extra Description:
- Show Image: Add an image to the question itself
- Extra Description: Provide additional context below the main question
Â
3.4 Layout Settings
Important: The layout settings are not available if the question type ‘picture’ is selected.
Mobile Layouts (4 options)
- Only works with question images
- Optimizes for small screens
Desktop Layouts (3 options)
- Only works with question images
- Better use of larger screens

Step 4: Adjust Theme Settings
4.1 Question Appearance
Individual question styling can be adjusted in the right-hand settings panel:
- Question font size
- Answer box background color
- Answer box text color
💡 Note: These settings apply to ALL questions in your quiz, not just the current one.

Â
4.4. Design Settings & Theme
For overall quiz styling, click “Design” in the top-left navigation.
You can create a new theme or modify an existing one. Available customization options:
- Question/Title Font: Choose from default fonts or upload custom fonts
- Answer Font: Set the font for answer text
- Logo: Upload your logo (displays at the top-center of the quiz)
- Quiz Background Color: Sets the background for all quiz pages
- Quiz Text Color: Controls the color of headers, titles, and question text
Â

Step 5: Set Up Pre-Result Page (Optional)
The pre-result page appears between quiz completion and results display. While optional, it serves important purposes:
5.1 Why Use a Pre-Result Page?
Enhances Perceived Value: The brief loading time makes customers feel their answers are being carefully analyzed for personalized recommendations.
Marketing Opportunity: Perfect moment to share your brand story, highlight what makes you special, or build trust with engaged visitors.

5.2 Pre-Result Page Options
Text Only: Simple message using your brand colors and fonts
Text with Images: Combine your message with product photos or brand visuals
Full Custom Background: Upload a branded image with built-in messaging
Remember: You can skip this page if you prefer to show results immediately, but it’s an excellent opportunity to strengthen your brand connection when visitors are most engaged.
